India XI entered the final of the ICL 20s World Series cricket championship with a 32-run win over Pakistan XI in its final league match at the Lal Bahadur Stadium at Hydrabad on Sunday.
Pakistan XI was off to a rollicking start chasing 177 for victory. Opener Imran Nazir, who hit a huge six over long-off off Ganapathi Vignesh, left the field after developing cramps. Soon, Abdul Razzaq (38, 17b, 7x4, 1x6) took charge.
However, Vignesh, who finished with impressive figures of three for 22, provided the breakthrough by taking a brilliant return catch diving to his right to send back Humayan Farhat for seven.
Earlier, Man-of-the-Match, Tejinder Pal Singh’s quick-fire 52 (32b, 4x4, 2x6) helped India XI post 176 for six in 20 overs. Opener Ibrahim Khaleel lent stability with a sensible knock (35, 30b, 5x4) during his 66-run second-wicket stand with Abhishek Jhunjhunwala (26, 36b, 1x4).
